     The military training base used by Morrow Project Group North; it's located at Sleeping Bear Dunes, near Grand Traverse Bay, Michigan. Construction began in early September of 2140.

     The buildings are mostly uninsulated wood frame structures.

platform wall tents for summer troops, 16' x 32' (GP medium) with wooden floor and frame, 2 stove jacks. 12 people can live in this, or 21 people can sleep here if that's all they do. Fabric is 200 kg of 10 ounce canvas duck, 1.8 cubic meters folded up with poles. $40 for the tent part, $100 for the foundation, platform and frame. The cost of canvas also includes poles to erect the tent on "plain ol' dirt" as a tactical shelter. $140 for platform and tent. Camp Swampy had tents only, no platforms.

     Other structures include rifle ranges, obstacle course, roads, jail, parade ground, watch tower, pier, 10 lister bags, 10 horse-drawn ambulances, privies.  The troops built their own smoke lodges and saunas. All told, the camp cost about $12,000 to build (including cost of transport of materials). I think we can call the cost of "field housing an army" in style:  $12 per person ...
