    A martial order of cenobitic monks adhering to the Orthodox faith (as defined by the Synod of Constantinople in 879 AD), originally established in Antioch in 1108 AD following the Treaty of Devol. The order established a monastery in Constantinople following the Fourth Crusade (1202 - 1204 AD). The monastery in Constantinople became the sole chapter following the fall of Antioch in 1291. They seem to have strange beliefs about souls and reincarnation. The fighting brethren (Gk. monachos, "monk") are distinct from the healers (Gk. hieromonachos, "holy monk") or scholars (Gk. presbyteros, "elder"), and seek to have their blades returned to their home chapter after their deaths.

   Lennie was "recruited" by them; the "rock crystal bracelet" guys apparently hate them. They have strange apparatii that can be used to discover "taints". They have loose ties to The Eternal Light and some other occult groups.
