Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety
Fire Station 1
171 North Mathilda Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
The normal crew is a lieutenant and four PSOs, with a fire engine, an "urban search and rescue" truck, and a reserve "tender" (actually just an older firetruck, used sometimes when extra water is needed).
This station is about a block north of Evelyn Avenue, which parallels the Caltrain line. A block of preserved orchard is just across California Avenue, to the north. Behind the fire station, further west along California, are research/manufacturing buildings (Applied Signal, Synplicity, etc.).
