The "Eaters of the Lotus", sorcerors who controlled Imperial China in the closed 69 AD Juncture. Almost all are eunuchs.

They remain powerful only in Hell now; they are led by Gao Zhang, formerly senior attendant to the Emperor. Much of their power, and almost all of their human allies, vanished when their Juncture went out of phase (69 AD in that Juncture, 2007 for the Contemporary Juncture).

An army of supernatural creatures, including demons, are at the beck and call of these evil magicians.

The Eaters of the Lotus are pretty good at feng shui, too. The sorcerors speak in funny high-pitched voices, are fond of gloating, and are prone to evil (but somewhat squeaky) laughter.
