Milo Ionopoulos - medic (Michael)

Background:  a native of the colony planet Ouranos, a world settled primarily by Greek-speaking colonists. Born 3332 AD.

Soon after the development of the Phase Drive a conflict began (ca. 3351) between Ouranos and Arcterra. After twenty years of stuggle, Ouranos was dominated by the other colony (which is subservient to, and was covertly backed by, the UEF).

Milo was bred and trained as a special operations medic for the Epouranios Strateuma; with the end of the war on Ouranos, he left the planet for exile (about 3 years ago). He doesn't usually go into his background beyond "soldier", but the UEF has a pretty good idea of what he can do. He's qualified for zero-G and vacuum suits, general ship crew duties, and as a paramedic. His small-arms qualifications haven't come up yet ...

He drinks megalos mpyra, a nasty beer-like substance from his home world, when he feels nostalgic or homesick. His native language is a dialect descended from Modern Greek. Like many people on Ouranos, Milo is of the Reform Bahá'í faith (mostly noticed because he doesn't drink, use tobacco, take recreational drugs, or gamble) -- though not strongly so.

Appearance:   2 meters tall, age 44, a very fit caucasian with thinning hair. He has several extra orifices and other genetically-engineered oddities, but none are visible when he's in normal attire. While he has better than 20/20 vision, he wears nearly unbreakable, flash-proof glasses (having had to regrow his eyes at least once after being dazzled by a powerful anti-personnel laser).
