Banking

Simple interworld banking is carried on in two general regions:   the Sirian-Bavanii-RimFed zone, and within the Vrogan League. Procedures are similar to those of Earth in the late 19th Century, since communication is slow and unreliable -- with of course enhanced procedures for identification and security. The most important executives of the larger banking houses are the "planetary managers" -- it is they who must decide whether to honor large transactions.

Interworld Trade

Cargo is either carried speculatively, or by contract, or for "own use". Speculative cargo is almost always carried by Free Traders (aka tramps). Contract cargo (someone pays to have a thing taken somewhere) and "own use" cargo are usually moved by larger, corporate-owned freighters.
