In the gap between the Principality and the XXX lies the world Rimthursar, home to an entirely alien race.

The planet is 11,200 kilometers in diameter, with a surface gravity of 0.9 G. The atmosphere is reasonably temperate, and nearly able to support human life -- the proportion of carbon dioxide is too high for humans to survive for more than a few minutes without filter masks.

About half of the planet is under water, in two enormous oceans -- one centered on each pole. The main land mass forms a belt around the equator, averaging about 6000 kilometers wide.

Billions of the alien Tou Tou live here, on the world from which their race developed; it is the capital of a small star nation. For some reason -- natural, or due to actions of the Tou Tou -- there are relatively few native life forms on this world.

The Tou Tou are a crystalline, shark-like race. They have eyes on extendable stalks, two manipulatory limbs at the rear of their body, and two legs centrally located. They produce an acidic spit as a weapon, from an orifice between their rear limbs.

Their economy is dependent on exportng technology (mostly cybernetics) to the Principality. They despise politeness as a kind of falsehood; they are reknowned for their "blunt honesty". Their government is ethical in its own way.

Humanity are regarded as gods by the Tou Tou -- but not as omniscient, omnipotent gods, not at all, and by no means "nice gods".
