narrative description

Avid athlete through high school, enjoyed rock climbing, martial arts, and swimming. Spent many long days in the Oregon and Washington mountains, climbing, hiking, and swimming.

Enlisted in the marines right out of college. Trained as an infantry scout and ship board firefighter. Encountered a DI with a specialty in knives, and also took up knife fighting. Spent much of his service doing on-ship firefighting, and saw action in Grenada not long before mustering out.

Went to Puget Sound on the GI bill and earned a Masters in Forestry.

Eric is a natural loner, but has a huge desire to please his commanders and improve the world. After University, Eric joint the Oregon Forest Service as a firefighter and part time ranger. Eric was not one to keep in touch with family and friends, disappeared from his family sometime in 1986, and no one was terribly surprised or concerned.
