“Hi there-Gerald Davis, most of my friends call me Doc Green.
I was born and raised in Shiprock, New Mexico, way out on the Res. My dad taught History and English, and my mom was a pilot for the Forest Service. They died a few years back. I had a brother James, he died in Viet Nam. My sister, Karen, died in 1980, in a car crash. I got an Uncle Henry in Toledo, but we were never close.
I was in the Navy for 12 years, as a Corpsman. I served in a variety of postings, had some time with the jarheads, and 2 years with a CB battalion in SOPAC. During the bicentennial, I got to serve on the USS Constitution. That was a blast! I think I’m the only Corpsman in the Navy with a weapon qual in ‘Boarding Axe’!
I ran middle distance and cross country in High School (Go Eagles!), and at New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, NM (Go Cowboys!).
I like long walks on the beach, sunsets, and visiting new places. My favorite bands are the Paladins, the Blasters, and Los Lobos. My personal kit includes a small American flag, a bunch of fake mustaches, and a compact scope for the M-14.
Thank you.”
