     You come from a family of middle-class farmers and shopkeepers. As a boy, you were sent with Uncle Theodore's herds up to the high Alpine valleys, and learned to love them (the Alps, not the livestock). You learned the traditional dances, sang the old songs, and made cheese the old-fashioned way.

     In fact, your cheese-making skills soon won prizes at the local fairs. You started a small dairy of your own, and have become known across Switzerland for your cheeses.

     Last year, you were asked by the famous inventor, Dr. Gulenspiel, to help him produce a very special kind of cheese for the secret weapon of Switzerland, die Kasein Kanone. Vast amounts of special "ballistic cheese" are required for this device, and you set out to do your patriotic duty. However, news of the secret project reached the ears of the nefarious Dr. Schreck, and he sent his minion Baron Kusseltraub to kidnap you.

     The evil baron took you to deepest Africa, where at the Lost Dairy of of King Solomon you were asked to reveal the secret of the Casein Cannon. Fortunately, for Switzerland and the rest of the world, you know little of the weapon itself.

     A fellow prisoner of Dr. Schreck was Marcus Ordelius, a citizen of the lost Roman city of Novostia. He took you along during his escape from Schreck's Steam Titan; the two of you wandered lost in the African desert for weeks. Eventually you were rescued by the expedition of Dr. Percival Stillberry, the famous veterinarian. He brought you back to Europe, where you learned of the uproar caused by Schreck's plan to bombard England with cheese. Schreck has turned the Casein Canno to evil ends, and must be stopped!

     You speak German, Italian and French very well, and German and Latin with an accent.
