Russell St John Equipment

Page history last edited by Michael 3 years, 7 months ago

back to the Index, or to Recon Team R40, or to Russell St. John

Encumbrance levels:

  • up to 21 kilograms:  unaffected - move 24 meters per round

  • 22 to 42 kilograms:  loaded - Dodge, Climb, Jump, Swim, and some other movement-related skills are halved; move is 18 meters per round.

  • 43 to 84 kilograms:  burdened - Dodge, Climb, Jump, Sneak, Throw, all melee attacks, all parries, and some others are halved; some skills may not be possible:  Swim without flotation aids, for example; move is 12 meters per round.

  • over 84 kilograms:  overloaded - Martial Arts, Sneak, Throw, all attacks and parries, and others are halved; Swim, Climb, Jump, Dodge, and others are not possible. Move is 3 meters per round.

Carrying their issued field gear and role kit is a load of 26.2 kilograms. That gas mask is a real lump o' weight ... if only your friends weren't so likely to heave tear gas about! The load with issued field gear, role kit, and survival gear is 37.4 kilograms.

Recommended "creeping into combat" modification:  leave the pistol (and holster and ammo), bayonet, and three of the frag grenades behind.
