Ghost Goggles

A wet, insectile compound eye encased in a ring of biopolymer. It can be implanted in the forehead, or in any large muscular area of the body (in which case no arcanowave port is needed); or worn with a heavy strap/half-goggle, over one eye, and plugged into an arcanowave port. When activated, the user must make POW check vs. the one-tenth of the total SIZ of creatures with souls in his field of view. If successful, the user gets a display showing life functions, etc. ("Hit Point Total" in fact) for each target. The line of sight works through a certain amount of solid material, varying by density (but up to 3 meters of rock, for example).

If you are using the ghost goggles and fumble the POW check, you obtain the "Hit Point Total" information, but are overtaken by demonic instincts -- instincts which might lead you to attack and devour the most wounded target!

They look sorta like this, only a bit more cheap-futuristic. The actual 'eye' part is biological -- in fact, taken from a demon!
